Testimonials

I found a great group of talented business women who network well!
February Luncheon Guest

Being a member of NAWBO Nashville has been such a great decision for me. When I was getting started, it was invaluable to have all of this knowledge at my fingertips from the more experienced members. Now that I've been in business for a while, I value being able to share what I know. Every month, I learn something new I can use in my business, and the networking contacts alone have made it so worthwhile.

    June 2010 Luncheon: Ginger Manley

The Nashville NAWBO June 24, 2010 luncheon was a very inspiring day for me personally and for everyone I spoke with at the luncheon.  Many of us, as business owners, think about the day we can give back to the community in some way (if we are not already doing so).  Ginger Manley, a former Nashville business owner and creator of The Nurses Apron Partnership, did just that – and it all started from inheriting a bunch of aprons.  Ginger took these aprons and gathered together an impressive group of women to write stories about their lives – collected into a wonderful book called “Gotcha Covered: A Legacy of Service and Protection”.  The proceeds from this book go to help a non-profit, micro-credit organization called Burning Bush, created by Poppy Buchanan, that provides support to nurses in Kenya.

Please check out the Nurses Apron Partnership website and learn more about this awesome group – we were fascinated with how Ginger was able to take a chance encounter with something as basic as an apron and bring it together with an incredible group halfway around the world to help those who are trying to make a difference in the lives of women and children.

Nashville NAWBO strives to bring together successful women in business so we can share our knowledge, grow our businesses and grow ourselves.  This lunch did all of that – and we hope you can join us at the next one!

We had a great crowd for this luncheon (held at Maggiano’s Little Italy the last Thursday of each month):
