We Are Better Together

It is with tremendous honor and humility that I begin my term as the incoming President of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Nashville Chapter.

As the first African-American woman to lead this amazing fellowship of talented women, I do so with awareness of the great responsibility and total commitment required. I look forward to, with enthusiasm, the opportunity to bring diversity within our membership and the relevancy of our mission to the entire community of women entrepreneurs throughout the city of Nashville.

To that end, the Chapter will continue to partner with organizations, corporations, and universities who share a common commitment to seeing women create economic self-sufficiency through business ownership.

Additionally, we will continue to educate and empower our membership through monthly Leadership Luncheons that bring to you dynamic speakers who’ve succeeded in disrupting their industry and now welcome the opportunity to share their experiences.

Lastly, we will deepen our connection with NAWBO National, which has for over 40 years now, endeavored to build up the confidence and capabilities of the women within its membership to scale their businesses and create positive change within their communities.

This is our NAWBO – yours and mine – and I look forward to seeing us grow together. Because as we say in NAWBO, we are #BetterTogether.

Best,

Jacqueline Hayes, MBA

Nashville NAWBO President, 2015-2016
