Testimonials

I found a great group of talented business women who network well!
February Luncheon Guest

Being a member of NAWBO Nashville has been such a great decision for me. When I was getting started, it was invaluable to have all of this knowledge at my fingertips from the more experienced members. Now that I've been in business for a while, I value being able to share what I know. Every month, I learn something new I can use in my business, and the networking contacts alone have made it so worthwhile.

Our Keynote speaker, Nancy Reece, will address the following topic at this luncheon.

Lessons from Cinderella – Becoming a Leader Women Want to Follow

Three fourths of women in a recent study preferred working for men over women. Become part of the movement dedicated to changing this statistic.  You will be challenged to:

    • Stop the three behaviors that harm your integrity
    • Begin three leadership competencies that will build trust

Nancy Reece is an integrity fanatic, passionate about helping people know the right thing to do, and then DOING the right thing.   She intuitively knows how to challenge and coach people to make a powerful impact as leaders, while creating a warm, transparent, and open atmosphere for learning and growth.  As Sr. Consultant with the Human Capital Group, Nancy specializes in values based leadership consulting, dynamic training and coaching around emotional intelligence, integrity, appreciation and organizational culture.

Nancy is a highly requested keynote speaker with a warm, engaging style that has challenged audiences around the globe.   As an emerging thought-leader, she encourages her audience and clients to achieve business results while placing integrity first.  Her insights on integrity and the ethical use of power have developed responsible leaders that people want to follow.

Prior to joining the Human Capital Group, Nancy was the first woman elected National Board Chair of the Association of YMCA Professionals in its 130-year history.  Her career includes service as Senior Vice President for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee and national consultant for YMCA of the USA.

As adjunct faculty, she teaches Leadership Perspectives at Lipscomb University’s Graduate Business School and has taught at Belmont University.  Nancy is a talented writer, and has authored the book, The Dichotomy of Power® – Using Power with Intelligence and Integrity, and co-authored / edited the book Strengthening the Organizational Heart.  She is the Integrity First columnist for the Nashville Business Journal.

She earned her B.S. degree from the University of Evansville and her M.S. degree from Indiana University, and has continued her lifelong learning at Harvard University and the Center for Creative Leadership.

Come at 11:00 AM and network with other business women owners and our speaker, Nancy Reece.
